A letter to Kansas Governor St. John from an apparent old acquaintance, J.W. McWilliams, who pledges his support for the temperance cause and forthcoming amendment vote. In answer to the Governor's inquiry about his personal status, McWilliams, who is physically impaired, offers, "heretofore we have been able to keep the "wolf" at bey".
