Railroad workers drilling through rock at mile 43 in Abo Canyon, New Mexico. This work is presumed to have been part of the construction of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway bridges, tunnels, and tracks in Abo Canyon that was begun in 1905 and completed in 1908.
