In this letter, A. T. Biggs of Lincoln, Kansas, is anxious for Kansas Governor St. John to set a visitation date to promote prohibition, emphasizing "so many are on the fence we want you to....punch them off on the right side". A. T. Biggs was president of the Temperance Union but also the Superintendent of Public Instruction in Lincoln County.
