The movement of the Kansas National Guard is frequently discussed, with the help of horses, the Missouri Pacific Railway, and the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway. Correspondents include U.S. Adjutant General H.C. Corbin, Major W.W. Minick of the Artillery Battalion, and Major E.W. Wellington of the 3rd Battalion, Second Infantry, among others.
