Correspondence sent and received by the Kansas Adjutant General's Office, headed by John N. Roberts. Most of the correspondence relates to discharge requests, letters from pension attorneys, and requests for certificates of service. Includes a signed petition supporting the reorganization of a militia company under Captain George W. Sprague in Atchison, and a letter from Sheriff George Hewes of Garfield County (now Finney and Gray) regarding the "imminent danger of riot" and requesting the Adjutant General's presence.
