The Cameron Meditation Garden is a part of the overall plan for the recreation complex at Menninger Clinic. Funds for the creation of this beautiful spot were provided by Mrs. I.T. Cameron of Kansas City, Missouri. Work began in the spring of 1965 and it was completed in June, 1966. Menninger is a leading psychiatric hospital dedicated to treating individuals with mood, personality, anxiety and addictive disorders, teaching mental health professionals and advancing mental health care through research. It was located in Topeka, Kansas, from 1925 to 2003 and is now in Houston, Texas.
