The dog is segmented into three pieces, and is hinged with nails just behind the front legs and just in front of the back legs with wooden wheels at the ends of the legs. It was made between 1920 and 1926. Joseph E. Lake received this toy from his parents, Ralph E. and Ada V. (Hopkins) Lake in the 1920s. He believes he received it before 1926, the year he first attended school. He played with it at successive family homes in Lebo, Strawn, and Pomona, Kansas, between 1920 and 1932. His children played with it in the 1950s while visiting their grandmother.

Date: between 1920 and 1926
