Kermit has Velcro on the palms of his hands and feet and his original tag promoting "The Muppet Show." He was made by Fisher Price Toys between 1976 and 1977. Jim Henson created the character "Kermit The Frog" in 1955 as part of the "The Muppets." He was a hand and rod puppet voiced by Henson and is best known from the Television shows "Sesame Street" (1969 ? present) and "The Muppet Show" (1976 ? 1980).
