These four black and white photographs show the Underground Vaults and Storage, Inc. at the Hutchinson Salt Mines in Hutchinson, Kansas. The record center, located 650 feet beneath the Kansas prairie, offered all the comforts of home including: hot and cold running water, a chemical waste disposal plant, electricity and a twenty drop telephone cable.
