This photograph shows Wabaunsee County young men, drafted into World War I, gathered at the Rock Island Depot at Alma for transport to induction facilities. The depot was located at the south end of Missouri Street. This is the third of four Rock Island depots that existed in Alma over the period of 80 years that the railroad operated there.
