These two photographs show Lewis Glynn Magouirk using a pulley tool invented and patented by his father Carl Cecil Magouirk. He is demonstrating how the pulley helped speed up unloading automobiles from a train car. Normally, it would take a day to unload autos, but by using the pulley, a train load of autos could be unloaded in about two hours. Magouirk owned a Chevrolet dealership in Cimarron, Kansas.
