This photograph shows the westbound San Francisco "Chief" at the Richmond depot in California. Introduced on November 14, 1926 by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company, the streamline passenger train provided cross country service from Chicago, Illinois, to Los Angeles, California, until it ended operations on May 15, 1968.
