Thomas H. Webb, secretary of the New England Emigrant Aid Company, wrote from Boston, Massachusetts to Martin F. Conway, general agent for the New England Emigrant Aid Company in Kansas Territory. Webb, in a letter identified as being "Unofficial," described his personal investments in town shares and lots in several Kansas Territory locations including Manhattan, Burlington, Topeka, Lawrence, and Quindaro.
