This photographs shows a street scene in De Soto, Kansas. Several buildings and store fronts are visible including the Masonic Hall, a meat market, and the J. W. Hiddleston store. A sign on the Hiddleston building appears to read "Horse Furnishing Goods". Two men sit on a crate outside the Masonic Hall. Handwriting on the original print identifies one of the men to be "Uncle Billy Hiddleston." Additional handwriting notes "Built 1908" but it is not clear which building is being referred to. A hitching post and barber shop pole are also visible.

Date: Between 1900 and 1920
