This photograph shows a view of business buildings on South State Street between Main and Washington streets in Norton, Kansas. A sign for a drug store is visible near the middle of the block on the left side of the picture, and another sign for Rexall Drugs is visible on the building at the far corner of that block. Other businesses visible along the street include John Lix Dry Goods, the Apparel Shop, a furniture and pianos store, and Dunbar's Shoe Store. A sign advertising Independent Oil is visible on the right side of the picture. Several automobiles are visible along the street.
