This is a postcard view of George Christina Howe posed with his stallion Dan. Howe lived on a farm near Otego, Jewell County, Kansas. In 1872, he came to Kansas with his parents and they settled on a farm near Esbon. Howe, a farmer, married Jennie A. Cornish on September 8, 1897, and they had one child, Helen.
