This brochure promotes the Great Rock Island Route of the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway in conjunction with the Chicago's World Fair. On one side are timetables connecting Chicago to Omaha, Nebraska; Kansas City, Denver and Pueblo, Colorado. The reverse side pictures a part of a terrestrial globe made at Nuremberg in the year 1492 and possibly used by Christopher Columbus to discover America. During the voyage, Columbus remarked that they had passed a Great Rock Island.
