Walter H. Beech (L), pilot and President of Beech Aircraft Corporation, and Brice H. Goldsborough, of the Pioneer Instrument Corp. and navigator, standing by a Travel Air built by Beech. They demonstrated the practicability of "blind flight" and won the 1926 Ford Reliability Tour.

This photograph can be used to show students how rapidly aircraft technology developed during the 1920s. This photo, taken in the late 1920s, can be compared with photographs of Cessna and Longren airplanes from the late 1910s and early 1920s to give the students an idea of how fast airplanes evolved in both appearance and performance.
