A small brochure distributed by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad describing what a man could acquire with as little as $1000 in south central and southwest Kansas. He could make the first payment on 160 acres of railroad land, build a small home, purchase a team and harness, also a breaking plow, harrow, cow and more. It goes on to describe how, by diligent work, a man could realize his dream of a home and land in Kansas along the Arkansas River Valley.
