A photograph showing people who attended the 8th Convention of the Slovenic National Benefit Association [Slovenska Narodna Podporna Jednota], Waukegan, Illinois. The Society founded in 1904, is the largest Slovenian based fraternal benefit society operating in the United States. Nine lodges were chartered in the coal mining region of southeast Kansas.
