This black and white stereograph taken from a glass plate negative shows the "Russell Record" newspaper shop in Russell, Kansas. A gentleman is standing before a table of type cases. Those cases held the various letters of typeface for the "Russell Record". The paper established in 1874 pledged to write in the best interest of Russell County, Kansas. Over the years the paper became the voice of the community until it merged with the "Russell Daily News" on June 1, 2000.
