The residents of Graham County are petitioning in a letter to Governor John P. St. John that he official by law recognize the area as a "bona fide" county. The petitioners go on to recommend that Abram T. Hall be appointed as census taker of the county in question. The letter provides a list of names of individuals who have resided in Graham County for more than six months and are notarized by E. P. McCabe as citizens.
