A photograph of an Eighth Kansas Volunteer Infantry flag made of blue silk with gold silk fringe along three sides. Painted on the flag is an American eagle with a federal shield, arrows and olive branch in its talons, the unit designation and battle honors. The Eighth went farther east than any other Kansas regiment and fought in northern Georgia.
