This cabinet card shows Thomas Benton "Bent" Murdock, (1841-1909). A Civil War veteran with the 9th Kansas Cavalry, and founder of the "Walnut Valley Times" and "El Dorado Republican." He served as a Kansas state senator for the 26th District of Butler County, (1889-1892). After his defeat for re-election, Murdock served as the fish and game warden of Kansas.
