This is a view of the farm land and buildings of Haskell Institute (now Haskell Indian Nations University), which was established in 1884 in Lawrence, Kansas, as the Indian Industrial Training School. When this photograph was taken sometime during the early 1900s, Haskell Institute provided education and vocational training to Native American students at the elementary and secondary level.
