A political cartoon titled "The Fruit of the (Family) Tree" featured in "The Emporia Gazette" newspaper on June 4, 1925. The cartoon is centered around the trial of John Scopes, a high school teacher from Dayton, Tennessee, who was arrested for teaching the theory of evolution as developed by Charles Darwin.
