This is a little more that a 6th of the numbers of souls in the State of Ohio. Many of the above cannot be reached by the colonizing scheme, not more than a 7th of the number of souls in Ohio need to be calculated upon. The Territory designed for them is, more than 3 times as large as Ohio. Therefore the comparative population of the Indian Ter. [Territory] would be as one 21st part of the population of Ohio would be to the whole state.
On account of the rude and scattered condition of many of the tribes which are not provided for, less land will be necessary for them, than some others. All the assignments which have been made are too large.
Proposition
1st.
Let all the tribes named above Let. [Letter] A. be located South of the northern line of the Cherokees.
2d.
Let those between A. and B. be located between the north line of the Cherokees, and the great Platt river.
3d.
Let the residue be placed in the portion of the Territory north of Platt river.
