In the pamphlet, James D. Holden voices his concerns about the need to pay interest to have access to money. This is one of several pamphlets by Holden dealing with various aspects of the money problems of concern to Populists. He believed that paying interest on money benefited only a small class of people who performed no useful labor at the expense of workers.
