The contents of this pamphlet is a speech S. N. Wood gave at Herington, Kansas, April 29, 1891. Wood died in June of 1891 just as this pamphlet was being printed. He was a supporter of the Populists and the speech described the actions of the Kansas House of Representatives and Senate during its 1891 session. The House was controlled by the Populists and the Senate by the Republicans and Populists were trying to inform the public of how the Senate blocked actions that the Populists believed would benefit "the people." The pamphlet contains detailed information about the actions of the Kansas Legislature in 1891.
